Donald Buckeye Lecture Series
The Department of Mathematics is pleased to welcome Dr. Liviu Suciu as this year's speaker for the Donald Buckeye Lecture Series, Tuesday, April 10, 3:30 p.m., Room 219, Pray Harrold.
Dr. Liviu Suciu's talk, Impressions of a Wall Street Trader, will give a ground-level view of Wall Street trading from the end of the dot com bubble through to the Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers meltdown of 2008.
Scholarships and Awards Ceremony, April 9
The Department of Mathematics hosted the annual Scholarship and Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 9 in the Student Center Ballroom. While some students were awarded scholarships, others were recognized for making their mark - from participation in Putnam and Math Modeling Contests to presenting their research at the symposium to tutoring in the math center.
Congratulations to all of the students that were recognized at the awards ceremony. We are very proud of our mathematics majors.
